Well, I am here to help. Navigating through college can be overwhelming. To be a candidate for a lot of the best college programs you have to know they exist freshman year and apply sophomore year for them to be beneficial your junior year.

Management and Leadership For Tomorrow (MLT)
MLT equips high potential minorities with the winning playbook and personalized coaching that allows them to reach their full leadership potential and maximize their community impact. MLT works with over 500 new individuals per year through its core programs and provides career-long support for its community of over 4,000 Rising Leaders.

The network I created is still beneficial 6 years later and it helped to refine my total package. They have two programs. a Career Prep program for undergraduate students and an MBA Prep program for those wanting to get their Masters in Business Administration.

National Black MBA Association
The National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA) was founded in 1970 at a two-day conference held at the University of Chicago, by a group of African American MBA students, faculty, advisors, and businessmen.
We have 9,000 members, 45 chapters and 27 collegiate chapters.
We are in partnership with over 300 of the countries’ top business organizations, the association has inroads into a wide range of industries as well as the public and private sector.
The National Black MBA Association has one of the best yearly career fairs. I landed a great job coming out of undergrad attending one of these career fairs. I encourage undergrad to go. You get cheaper pricing, connections with major companies and you are able to expand your network. They even have an undergrad breakout section. Shout out to the University of Illinois for being the first undergrad Chapter.

National Association of Black Accountants
The NABA, Inc. is the oldest and largest professional membership organization focused specifically on African-Americans and people of color in the accounting, finance and business-related fields. NABA represents more than 20,000 professionals in business and industry, public accounting, government, nonprofit and education, including those with the highly coveted CPA designation and students preparing for careers in the profession or related fields.

National Society of Black Engineers
The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is owned and managed by its members. With more than 30,000 members around the world, NSBE is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE’s mission is “to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.”
The organization is dedicated to the academic and professional success of African-American engineering students and professionals. NSBE offers its members leadership training, professional development activities, mentoring opportunities, career placement services and more. NSBE comprises 394 active chapters — 242 collegiate, 70 professional and 82 pre-collegiate — located in six geographic regions. NSBE is governed by an executive board of college students and engineering professionals and is operated by a professional staff at its World Headquarters, located in Alexandria, Va.
