I woke up like any other day and went to post on instagram. It was a time to share my latest podcast and all of a sudden my picture posted but my caption did not.
I try to create the caption and it said that the link in my profile was not approved.
Let’s unpack that. As of 7/13 Instagram is flagging all account that are using Linktree. If it has not happened to you yet, you are not lucky. Please remove it asap.
Solution: Create your own linktree on you site.
How To Create Your Own LinkTree Page For Instagram
- Create A New Blank Page and Title It “All The Links” or “Links” or something to that nature.
- You can make buttons by using the buttons in your website template or creating them on canva using the leaderboard designs.
- Add Your Links. Ensure that all the buttons are connected to links. Please test it out and go one by one to ensure your buttons go to their desired destination.
An additional “pro” of doing this is you get the additional page views that you were previously missing when people clicked on linktree.
