Today we wake up, grab breakfast and head to Selvatica. Selvatica is 40 minutes away in the Jungle of Mexico. Selvatica means “citizen’s of the jungle.” Selvatica was an amazing experience. At Selvatica, we started off the day with a Jungle Walk. We took this rope trail through the woods. The scenery was beautiful. There was a time where we had a long stretch and we could glide to the other side if we kept our feet up.
Well, I tried. I started off good but my leg felt a little low and it gets caught in the floor rope. So I had a little wipeout. My only regret is that I didn’t catch this on video.
After we did that, we went on to go zip lining throughout the jungle. It was an amazing view and I love the pictures that we got from Selvatica. Not all tourist attractions give you both a large quantity and high-quality pictures. We also bought the video which was again super nice quality. With Selvatica, you have more than enough to take home for the price.
After zip-lining through the jungle, we go ATV riding. We go through this path and are able to see an entirely different area of the jungle. I really like that they had the slower people in the back so that those that were more comfortable could enjoy the ATVs and have a more intense experience.
After the ATVs, we arrived at this fresh water sink hole. Here we were able to grab onto a swing and let go and fall into the water. We played games where we tried to land in between the tire and swim in the fresh water. It was a very refreshing experience.
The last thing we did was bungee jump. That was my first-time bungee jumping and the experience was AMAZING!!! I am so happy that we were able to buy the video and pictures from Selvatica because this was definitely a great experience and I am happy that I am able to share my experience with my future kids.
After we were done with all of our activities we had lunch which consisted of rice, beans, and chicken. After lunch, we were all given a tree seed and a stick to name our tree. This is our way of given back to the jungle which has given us so much. Now we have left our permanent mark and are truly “citizen’s of the jungle.”
